Hi, During the Gentoo installation i'm required to download some stuff and my ISP require me to suply them with a login and password everytime I want to use the Internet.
They have a loginpage, 10.0.0.x
How can I login so I can finnish the Gentoo Installation? |

This may be impractical, but if I were you, I would switch ISPs as quickly as possible. They talk to your hardware directly, and if they still can't figure out who you are, they're probably incompetent. _________________ I don't believe in witty sigs. |

Are you on dial-up or DSL/cable?
Asking for a name/pword for dialup is fairly standard last I used one. (it's been a while, thankfully) But no, I have no idea how to use dial up in conjunction with *nix. And if you're on DSL/Cable and they still need a name/pword every time you connect- yeah, get a new ISP.
Actually, if you're on dial-up, get a new ISP- specifically, one with broadband. Dial-up sucks. |
