I was trying to compile gnucash and I was having problems. Everytime I tried to do it the configure script died with this error: | Code: | | configure: error: cannot find libglade. |
The line just above the error was this | Code: | | checking for glade_init in in -lglade ... no |
I had libglade-2.0.0-r1 installed... Since I tried to emerge this numerous times unsuccessfully I tried then to install an older version of libglade since ebuild for gnucash wanted a version older then 2. So I emerged libgled-0.17-r6 but the install failed again at the same spot.
Finally, I looked in the config.log file and there was one line about incompatible flag. I removed -fomit-frame-pointer flag from my /etc/make.conf file and this fixed the error. Gnucash now compiled.
Perhaps, this can be of use to someone..... |
