Hello,
I've been compiling the kernels and then creating the initramfs using genkernel and the following command:
Code: |
genkernel initramfs --firmware --kernel-config=/usr/src/linux/.config --keymap --makeopts=-j16 --mountboot --no-clean --zfs
|
It's been working fine, and I've been able to create my initramfs until kernel version 6.7.8. Suddenly, when installing kernel version 6.7.9, genkernel would not work and stop with the following error:
Code: |
* initramfs: >> Initializing ...
* >> Appending devices cpio data ...
* >> Appending base_layout cpio data ...
* >> Appending util-linux cpio data ...
* >> Appending eudev cpio data ...
* >> Appending auxiliary cpio data ...
* >> Appending busybox cpio data ...
* >> Appending modprobed cpio data ...
* >> Appending zfs cpio data ...
* ERROR: Something went wrong: Did not found any udev-related files for sys-fs/zfs!

I am using the same zfs version than before, zfs-2.2.3. I've checked , and genkernel-4-3-10 was reinstalled at the same time when I emerged gentoo-sources-6.7.9, but the same version genkernel-4.3.10 was in use when I previously created the initramfs for the kernel 6.7.8. I've tried to create a new initramfs for the already compiled kernel 6.7.8, but it fails the same, when it had worked in the past.
Could anyone, please, help me and point me in the correct direction to fix this issue?
Thanks! |
