[solved]how to prevent NetworkManager from starting automati

I recently had to install NetworkManager as it is required by games-util/steam-launcher in the Steam overlay. Now it seems that NetworkManager is starting automatically and interfering with wpa_supplicant. The command "rc-service NetworkManager status" says the service is "inactive", so I'm not sure what is causing it to start. Steam does not start automatically, so I don't think that is the culprit. How can I prevent NetworkManager from running?

Edit: "rc-update del netmount" solved the problem.
