Hello!
I was browsing the web, as I've noticed that some sites suddenly stopped loading. Some still do, as I'm writing this on the affected machine.
I haven't updated for about two weeks, so I figured that was the problem and naturally tried to update.
emaint -a sync was failed to sync the repos.
Instead I got this:
Code: | >>> Syncing repository 'gentoo' into '/var/db/repos/gentoo'...
* Using keys from /usr/share/openpgp-keys/gentoo-release.asc
* Refreshing keys via WKD ... [ ok ]
>>> Starting rsync with rsync://89.238.71.6/gentoo-portage...
>>> Checking server timestamp ...

rsync error: received SIGINT, SIGTERM, or SIGHUP (code 20) at rsync.c(713) [Receiver=3.2.7]
>>> Retrying...
>>> Starting retry 1 of 1 with rsync://[2a00:1828:a00d:ffff::6]/gentoo-portage
>>> Checking server timestamp ...
rsync: [Receiver] failed to connect to 2a00:1828:a00d:ffff::6 (2a00:1828:a00d:ffff::6): Network is unreachable (101)
rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at clientserver.c(139) [Receiver=3.2.7]

I tried it a couple of times; rebooted, and still got the same response. I rebooted my router -- same response.
I believe, both problems are connected and that something is broken with my system. By the way, I use wi-fi with systemd.
Any advice?
UPDATE:
Everything just started working on its own. I neither know what actually happened, nor how to fix it.
Leaving the post as unsolved, so that more knowledgeable people than me can come and figure it out for all the others, who may encounter the same problem.
Thanks for help!

I don't know, what happened, but the issue is gone. Everything just works after I shut down and waited for ~1:30 hours.
The browser works, the sync works...
Very strange...
But thank you anyway! |
