|
|
Can anyone help ?
Tried to mount from usb stick, but it failed.
Probing all media and then "no bootable media found".
Latest iso.
Booting from flash
-bootable device is not valid root device-
Tried to burn with gnome-disks as well as with DD option in rufus, but no changes, it won't boot. |

Perhaps a problem with MBR/GPT boot.
What's hardware?

I think LiveGUI might not support legacy BIOS boot.

I have an old laptop (Compaq 6710b) with legacy BIOS and Gentoo live GUI ISO boots just fine with Ventoy. |

OP mentioned rufus. I think it has an option to format the drive with BIOS/MBR partitions. GPT won't work.

Hey, sorry for an off-topic, but yours is some 15 years old or so! And it's still alive!! Wow!!!
# You know my 6715s died 8 years ago. Now I'm afraid of my current PC's lifespan. ;-) |
