So, the Discord desktop client fails with the following error:

so I'm not running the desktop client. On the browser, up until a couple months ago I could get my mic working only on Brave, but not Opera. However, when I go into the Video & Sound settings on the Discord web client, if I run a mic test I can hear my voice returned back to me. But that's the only place. In any voice chat, my mic is muted and I can't unmute it. The Video & Sound settings page also says I don't have "any connected audio device", even though the dropdown menu correctly shows my audio interface (a Scarlett Solo USB interface).
Any help troubleshooting this? It's really frustrating trying to get this working again.

UPDATE: it turns out this crash on the desktop client was resolved when I updated apulse. I still don't have the mic working in the browser, but if the desktop version works I have a workaround. Hope this helps other people. |
