Today's update to www-client/firefox-bin-119.0-r1 from 118.0.2 fails to launch with segfault:
Code:
Oct 25 21:37:05 (kernel) (852170.998434) firefox-bin(23558): segfault at 5f3f650 ip 0000000005f3f650 sp 00007ffe3c455f08 error 14 in firefox-bin(5601fd4f4000+c000)

Note: Substituted parenthesis for square brackets to avoid forum markup conflict. Error message is always the same except for date/time group.

I masked the version and went back to 118.0.2 which continues to work great. Will file bug report if I don't find one already posted.

ADDED: Bug was already reported. I did a "me too."

For those who want to follow along, this is reported as www-client/firefox-bin-119.0 with apulse [alsa,-pulseaudio] : SEGV on launch. That bug only deals with SIGSEGV at launch, apparently due to some failure to load a library. A runtime freeze is probably not be related to this.
