All Global Audio devices Disabled without any other option available on obs, hence obs can not capture any audio on my device. Please tell me the possible reason.

Thanks

Hi,

The report is simple
Code:
These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
Dependency resolution took 27.01 s.

[ebuild   R   ~] media-video/obs-studio-29.1.2::gentoo  USE="alsa pipewire pulseaudio ssl truetype wayland -browser -decklink -fdk -jack -lua -nvenc -python (-qt6) -speex -v4l -vlc -websocket" LUA_SINGLE_TARGET="luajit" PYTHON_SINGLE_TARGET="python3_11 -python3_10" 0 KiB

Total: 1 package (1 reinstall), Size of downloads: 0 KiB

 * IMPORTANT: 1 news items need reading for repository 'gentoo'.
 * Use eselect news read to view new items.

I don't think reinstall could fix the issue.

Thanks

My sound is working well in other application like browsers, mpv, vlc and so on. Here is
Code:
emerge -pv libpulse pulseaudio pipewire

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
Dependency resolution took 5.51 s.

[ebuild   R    ] media-video/pipewire-0.3.70-r2:0/0.4::gentoo  USE="X bluetooth dbus readline sound-server ssl -doc -echo-cancel -extra -ffmpeg -flatpak -gsettings -gstreamer -jack-client -jack-sdk -lv2 -modemmanager -pipewire-alsa (-system-service) -systemd -test -v4l -zeroconf" ABI_X86="(64) -32 (-x32)" 0 KiB
[ebuild   R    ] media-libs/libpulse-16.1-r2::gentoo  USE="X asyncns dbus glib gtk -doc (-selinux) -systemd -test -valgrind" ABI_X86="(64) -32 (-x32)" 0 KiB
[ebuild   R    ] media-sound/pulseaudio-16.1::gentoo  USE="bluetooth glib -daemon -jack -ofono-headset" ABI_X86="(64) -32 (-x32)" 0 KiB

Total: 3 packages (3 reinstalls), Size of downloads: 0 KiB

 * IMPORTANT: 1 news items need reading for repository 'gentoo'.
 * Use eselect news read to view new items.

Once I upgraded the Portage world last time, the system sound performs differently than before.

Please try to
Code:

emerge -av pavucontrol

and in the pavucontrol UI go to Input Devices and mute/unmute your mic.
It should eventually work.

Having similar issue. Post December 2023 update obs is not capturing audio output from steam games.
I remember some news about pipewire but haven't read it yet. Also I avoid pipewire. I have -pipewire in global flags.
I am not sure what broke it. Even if game audio is audible when not in focus obs is not capturing anything.

I still need to look into 'pipewire' a bit more in OBS Studio to clear it up for myself (and improve the ebuild regarding that), but it seems it is only used for video capture at this time, and only on Wayland (though supposedly there is a way to enable it on X11, but I couldn't make it work yet).

As suggested by alamahant, seeing the terminal output from OBS Studio could provide us with hints.
