Diablo , Civilization . Almost all Blizzard titles should come into this (World of Warcraft anyone?) . Civilization is famous for the "just one more turn" syndrome . |

X3 - Terran Conflict - 2 years gameplay time but I know people who have been on it for far longer than that. _________________ "Faith is the strength by which a shattered world shall emerge into the light." ~ Helen Keller |

Call of Duty Modern Warfare was the most enthralling game I have ever played
I must admit that the movie effects of the game have come as a pleasant surprise to me.
Even World At War has an encouraging game play which makes us realise the levels that have been attined by the developers
Didn't get my hands on COD MW2 yet.
It will definitely be better |

Modern Warfare 2 which is one of the best ever video games. It is so realistic it is jaw-dropping. Due to its popularity many people have started a modern warfare 2 site, in which people discuss tactics, maps, and take questions and suggestions using the email on the site. I wii figure out some of its features.
1) Addictive Multiplayer
2) Great Campaign
3) Challenges for multiplayer
4) Titles/emblems
5) Alot of weapons |

All time for me:
Diablo II ... off and on for like 7-8 years. This game can really be crack sometimes.
Morrowind
Oblivion
Call of Duty 2

Well I'm playing Starcraft 2 Beta and it's also addictive. :P
Others I'm playing (that are also addictive) — World of Warcraft and Team Fortress 2.
Never liked Call of Duty series tho. |

MMOs are very addictive, since there is a good community. Maybe if there is good community then the game itself can be not so good.
I was playing WoW a lot (3-4 hours a day is lot to me), but fortunately i switched to linux and WoW is unplayable for me in wine:) Now, I'm not interested...
But what is addictive it depends on the people playing or doing it... |

| I would have to say resident evil 5, it has a very well thought out co-op play to it and it is challenging but very very fun at the same time. I just recently got just to try it out and i fell in love with it right away l I love the co-op so much that i have beaten it 3 times. |

I agree with Diablo II. First you play, then you start modding (frozenforums) and never get away from it
p.s. I am not really playing anymore, only from time to time I just install it, remeber the good old times and uninstall it again... _________________ Gentoo on Uptime Project - Larry is a cow |

DOOM - all versions, and Myst - all versions. I can only tolerate FPS games that are fantastical or demonic, and (don't hate me!) I tend to play single player DOOM in god mode because I'm more interested in finding things and puzzle-solving than shoot-em-up skillz. I'm not going to go around shooting ordinary humans in games, as much as I sometimes would like to IRL! _________________ Abused Men: http://abusedmen.org

Right now I'm addicted to Sacred 2. I played it online in HC mode in windows, but after wiping windows off of my lan, I hadn't played it. I got it working in wine and am extremely happy to have it running on an OS I actually like. _________________

I played Morrowind so much I can still remember where most of the really cool items are and what to do for almost all the quests.
I've been playing Oblivion on and off since it came out and I'm still addicted.
And of course epsxe rocks cause I can play Final Fantasy VII which is still one of the best RPG games ever. Every so often I feel the need to play it again. |

| Agreed, any of the Elder Scrolls games will suck your life away before you realize it. I'm actually playing through Morrowind again off and on... |

You need to be well into your 50's to have played the original _________________ Regards,

Or young at the time. C'mon, Pong was early-mid 70s. I played pong (admittedly the 1975 home version, not the 1972 original) and I'm not even 40 yet. |

Nothing really compares IMO. I still have this installed - can't beat it for just blowing shit up when you need to. Always leaves me feeling better after playing, usually with a smile on my face. |
