Hi again,
anyone installed Samba with WinbindD to catch user/groups from an NT Server or W2K ADS? Will be next on my installation so just want to look if somebody already did it.
Greets,

I did look into it once, got it working, but didn't look into it further, because i think its not the right way(tm) to do (as it depends on M$ protocols)
Right now i'm using LDAP auth on gentoo clients, authenticating against an openldap server, only part of the puzzle missing is the samba-ldap integration, that seems to work in samba-TNG ...
But on the other hand, there was a nice post here some days ago about pgina, and authenticating NT clients agains openldap ... if i'm going to have some spare time i'll try it ... |

Thanx, but unfortunately I have to use a Win2K Domain Controller 'cause we use some software products only available for w2k. (best thing is they are not from m$, bad thing they don't port it to linux).
So I have to play the samba game
