i am trying to run crontab again and i know i have to kill it somehow does anybody have any idea of how to do that?

well, if you wanna kill something, you can go ps ax and the kill the process that you want to stop. I'm sure there's a better way to go about it, but thats one way i know.

Are you trying to kill the daemon?

You can start/stop/restart it with: /et/init.d/cron [command] or whatever the cron command is; just check in that dir.
