post the uptime commands output :)
interesting to see people's load average's.

On my gentoo laptop:
Quote:

tpwch@laptop tpwch $ uptime
00:18:43 up 2:23, 1 user, load average: 0.86, 0.43, 0.27

On my debian server:
Quote:

tpwch@p133:~$ uptime
00:24:55 up 35 days, 22:38, 1 user, load average: 0.00, 0.00, 0.00

I guess I can use that server some more :D

edit: hm.. the end of the title got messed up. *submits bug to phpbb*

18:56:17 up  6:17,  1 user,  load average: 2.15, 2.30, 2.26

I always have two units of seti running, that keeps my load average at least two or higher.

Code:

(20:23:46·tux@Helix)
[~]$ uptime
 20:23:47 up 6 days,  14:58,  2 users,  load average: 0.08, 0.05, 0.00

madchaz: to the best of my knowledge, the fields are as follows:
current time | how long up | current number of users logged in | load average for the last 1 minute | load average for the last 5 minutes | load average for the last 15 minutes

load average = the average number of RUNNING processes for a given time period. sleeping processes are not taken into account
hope that helps :D
