Other than compiling the drivers as kernel modules and loading them in the correct order, is there a way to force specific network cards to be a specific eth device? I.e. I have a tulip card and a 3com 3c59x card, and I'd like the 3com card to be eth0 and the tulip to be eth1, but they start up as the opposite. It's a minor issue, but it would be nice if I change it. |

Try swapping the slots into which the cards go. |

I'm pretty sure they are initalized in the order of the IRQ. Might want to try playing with that. _________________ - Kyle Manna
