When i mount cdrom i get this error.

mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/cdroms/cdrom0,
or too many mounted file systems
|
How can i fix this problem?? _________________ What is locked, can be opened. What is hidden, can be found, What is yours, can be mine. |

HEPP,
Have you made the iso9660 filesystem module?
Try to mount the hard way
Code: | mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/<some_place> |
Report the error. Do not use a music CD, they don't get mounted. _________________ Regards,

Ok, i did try to mount a music cd, and that's why it dident work
Can some one explain why cant mount a music CD?
And how to i copy the music into my harddrive? _________________ What is locked, can be opened. What is hidden, can be found, What is yours, can be mine. |

HEPP,
A music CD doesn't have a filesystem, so you can't mount it.
To copy the music to your hdd you need a ripper like Grip. there are many others.
It reads the content of the CD over the IDE interface. XMMS can play CDs that way (no wire to your soundcard) if you use digital audio extraction. _________________ Regards,
