Does anyone know how to install Gentoo or any other Linux on an IBM RS6000 570f ?
Is it possible to run ANY Linux on this machine? |

I don't know, but you'll get more attention in this forum: Gentoo on alternate architectures, or maybe the PPC subforum.
Please ask some moderator to move your topic.
By the way, searching for "rs6000" got me 14 topics.
Must be some relevance in there |

No idea what that "F" tagged to the 570 stands for, but if I'm not mistaken you've got one of the old microchannel-architecture-based machines there, right? I'm afraid you're out of luck with those. AIX is the only OS that boots on that particular dinosaur.
In light of the above, coming to think of it, my moving this thread to "Gentoo on PPC" shows signs of erratic moderator behaviour... |
