|
|
I have check EVERY SINGLE line of the kernel (make menuconfig) and i can't find the place where i can compile RTC into the kernel... I must be blind.... but i checked twice..
The only reference to RTC was whether i wanted to store the value as GMT or not (this is under the power management section)... this i did select and is already compiled in my kernel.
ANY CLUES?
the reason why i need to compile RTC is because whenever i start Vmware, i get the following.. "the host high resolution timer device (/dev/rtc) is not currently available: No such file or directory."
thanks in advance, for giving this blind guy some help. _________________ Edward Alfert

Thanks!
I guess i didn't see that because it was listed under "Enhanced Real Time Clock Support" and my mind was looking for a line that started with R instead of E...
