|
|
Reinstalling Gentoo went OK. No problems. Untill I emerged apache mod_php and mod_ssl.
Well, it's not that big a problem but I don't know where the fault is at.
After installing mod_php and mod_ssl emerge will tell you that you might want to run ebuild /var/db/pkg/net-www/mod_sslXX/mod_sslXXX.ebuild config for mod_ssl and a similar ebuild script for php. Well after doing this my apache.conf doesn't get auto updated, no single line is added .....Ebuild was telling me there was no digest...
My workaround for this was Nanoing the ebuild script and searching for the commands that would be started and I have done this manually....and this worked.
BUT this is of course not the desired way to run any ebuild XXXX config.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?
Thanks in advance. _________________ Cheers

it's a portage (2.0.23) bug. using portage 2.0.13 should solve your problem.

You can also cut and paste the call to apacheaddmod out of the .ebuild file and run it by hand. Worked for me... _________________ Mikki |

mikki thnx but that's what I described in my first post, that I did this manually but that this is not the easiest way of doing an ebuild config.... _________________ Cheers

jukka, you said that it was probably a bug.......but I've tried portage-2.0.23 and now portage-2.0.25 (which is unmasked by default) and both have this problem.
What I'm saying is that I think that if this was a bug, the bug still exists. (and wasn't fixed in 3 versions :S ). This sounds really odd to me.
But it's possible though......
Anyway, if it's not a bug in the current portage version, 2.0.25, please tell me what do I need to do to set the digest for ebuild??!?? _________________ Cheers

After emerge portage-2.0.23, 2.0.25 and now 2.0.27 I see that with this latest version, that darn digest problem is fixed....YEEEESSSSSS! _________________ Cheers
