| When I type this I get a whole stream of errors from tar saying "Cannot open: No such file or directory". This is on an iBook and I'm doing a Stage-3 install. Can anyone shed some light into this? I've been able to emerge other packages like vcron and metalog just fine though. |

emerge sync and try again.
Can you emerge other kernels?
ppc-sources is the kernel from Benjamin Herrenschmidt. You can merge his kernel directly (sys-kernel/ppc-sources-benh).
But I have no problems with merging ppc-souces so I suppose a emerge sync will solve your problem.
Or post the output from tar. |
