a little problem with EPOX motherboard

on my epox motherboarda (8RDA) i've a LCD with 2 letters (it displays BIOS status if the computer hangs at boot).
in windows the pc boots and shows FF in the motherboards (Fully Functional), in linux the display shows strange letters that represent HD utilization...
....and my hdd led do not light up :P

this is a exploit: the kernel thinks that my LCD is the hdd led, and send messages to it, i have to hack the kernel :P
