Hi All:

Was using LXedit but lately it did not pick up on the "electronics" folder that got created when I installed spice, oregano and a few other things....so dropped it.

Emerged alacarte which seems to run fine but I tried to create a launcher for xcircuit in the electronics folder and everything seems to go fine, I click ok and its all for not, nothing shows up. I ran alacarte from the terminal and nothing, no errors...

Just installed menulibre and it looks good but....the electronics folder does not show up, its not even there.

I'm very confused here.

Cheers,
john

Hello,

Do you have sci-electronics/electronics-menu installed ? Try just re-emerge it.

Re-emerged it, no change. Still doesn't show up in menulibre.

Now, alacarte.....I reported that I could not create a new menu item for Xcircuit. it turns out that alacarte put all the new items in the "Other" folder even though I placed it in the electronics folder. Wierd.

Then I tried to create the Xcircuit item in the Accessories folder....and again, it shows in the "Other" folder. Wierd again.

I'm at a loss of what is happening with the Xfce4 menu stuff.

Cheers,
john
