Okay. Since codelite is not in portage yet, I added rainyday via layman and tried to emerge the latest and greatest. This is what happened: | Code: | # emerge codelite

I have seen this error in other -9999 ebuilds too. What is the reason? How can I pinpoint exactly where it is failing? How to fix this ebuild?

| Please post the command line of the failed git call. If I were to guess based on the limited information available, I would say that there is an unquoted use of the repository path, so your choice of placing distfiles in a directory with an embedded space is confusing it. |

| Thanks! That is exactly correct. Interestingly, I distinctly remember thinking about such mis-behaviour when I was naming my directory around 5 months back. At that time I thought, "oh well, lets see who still doesn't take care of this use case". Never did I think it would occur in layman. (The git command is part of layman - the ebuild is straight forward). I will raise a bug and I am really thankful to you for your help! |
