Hello to all the gentoo forum users.
I have been trying to install obs-studio so that I can stream in my gentoo system. I have used simple screen recorder before, but it maxes out my cpu and uses way to many resources. https://github.com/saintdev/obs-studio-overlay# It looks like some one has made and overlay for it, but I am still to inexperienced to use it or install it. Is there a way to add this to layman? I would greatly appreciate some instruction on the proper way to install obs.
Thanks for your time and help!
Cheers![/quote] |

@tw04l124 Thanks
I was using this but I couldn't figure it out.
So from the git file it has a layman.xml, so do I copy that file into "/etc/layman/overlays/" and then look for obs?
I got it.
I was copying the file that was in the package and not the one on the web page. Once I got the right file installed it worked.
Now I just have to figure out how to overcome the blocks and conflicting packages.
here is the output https://gist.github.com/ae930da8b270accb1dba... well that isn't the whole output, it is only the last little bit of it.
let me try another wgetpaste to see if will show the whole thing. |
