Hello,
for some strange reason, Quake3 refuses to run.

The only thing I did was installing kernel 2.4.19-gentoo-r7. Yes, I've 'emerge nvidia-kernel nvidia-glx'
Any one has a clue? Please?

I dunno... try running "opengl-update nvidia".

don't forget to re-emerge your sound or ALSA if your using that.. and update-opengl ...
also XF86Config.. mine somehow was changed from "nvidia" to "nv" so i had to manually change it back again to "nvidia" if you use them.... |
