Hi,
I'm not sure whether it's an Xorg problem or Nvidia's (or both), nonetheless here's what Xorg.0.log shows when it happens:
Code: | [ 14.649] (II) config/udev: Adding input device Microsoft Microsoft Basic Optical Mouse v2.0 (/dev/input/mouse0)

There are actually 2 things that annoys me about this log, the first and main issue starts on [6811] where what I did was switching to console, then when I tried to return to my graphical desktop, all I got was a black screen with (presumably) a movable mouse cursor. (my mouse icon is black too, so it's hard to tell)
The second, which is less of concern to me though I'd love to solve that issue too, is the long boot time wait between [14] and [27] secs where it seems something is wrong or not properly configured that causes that delay, is it the "3D Vision stereo" or the "This device may have been added with another device file" which causes the delay...?
One last thing, I use uvesa for frame buffer, not sure if it matters.... |

Update: After reading an Arch forums thread (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=185842) it seems that adding: Option "XAANoOffscreenPixmaps" "true" to nvidia.conf / xorg.conf solves the problem, though I'm unsure why and how the OP figured that out...
well, for the time being (after one reboot) it seems to do the trick and Xorg.0.log isn't showing the error from before -

I'll try to update in case the issue will return (hopefully it won't).... |
