I am trying to change the console layout to Colemak, since using Qwerty when I have physically rearranged the keys on my keyboard is a pain.

I changed the keymap in /etc/conf.d/keymaps to "colemak" and ran rc-update add keymaps boot, but it did not take effect (does this require a reboot?).

Any help would be appreciated.

Code:
rc-service keymaps restart
should fix it.
