I recently have some strange behavior on my laptop and I am not even sure why it started or how to troubleshoot it.
Basically if I put my laptop to sleep, usually by closing the lid, while plugged into the AC Adaptor...when it wakes it will run from battery even though still connected to the AC adaptor and a power source. I have to physically unplug and then re-plug the adapter into the machine for it to resume taking power from AC. Any ideas? Not a killer but highly annoying. |

Belongs the user when entering sleep, to the group "power"? |

Yes. Any other ideas?
I also noticed that my USB mouse also exhibits the exact same behavior. Related? |

I am either losing my mind or something changed.
So for some reason this is no longer happening. Maybe something came down in an update?
I hate unsolved problems even if the problem is "fixed" So I started backtracking and noticed that now there isn't even a group "power" anymore. WTF??? Should I create it again even if the power issue has gone away?
Thanks |

Budoka ... that group is not standard for powersave, suspend, hibernation, etc ... I imagine its specific to upower/pm-utils, so your issue (or, its seemingly appearing/disapearing) is probably located there.
best ... khay |
