Hello everyone
i tried to connect through USB my sixaxis on my gentoo with xboxdrv.
I followed all the discussions here and there but nothing respond in my case.
the PS3 controller is well detected by the kernel

nothing happened although there is the led flash.

Did you press the PlayStation button after you plugged the Sixaxis into the USB port? You should also check if the required kernel options are enabled. The xboxdrv ebuild should have done this for you.
Is there a reason why you're using xboxdrv? I can only guess that you want to create a custom button mapping for the Sixaxis. If you just want a working Sixaxis controller via USB or Bluetooth, follow the instructions on the Gentoo Wiki. |

Hello
i have succeeded to install xboxdrv now (an option in the kernel was not set) now i can see the event generated when i test my sixaxis.
But now i dont know how to use it to play with it with wine ?
if i start a game with wine nothing happened.
Is there any tutorial to configure this ?

Hie
if i understand well i need to remap the keys from the keyboard to the ps3 controller through an app like Qtsixa ?
i search on the net and in every sites they said that when you plug your ps3 controller though usb all work fine, but what does it mean ? is the ps3 controller take control of the arrow cursor, is it only for linux based game, does it work for wine apps ?
Can someone help me ?

hie everyone
i finally succeeded to use Bluez to detect my ps3 controller sixaxis.
But now i would like to :
1 - use the sixaxis to play linux game
2 - use it to play game through wine
i have read here and there tutos but i dont really understand.
is there a way to map sixaxis buttons for all the different kind of games ?
Is qtsixa is mandatory to map them or is there a way with bluez ?
