This all didn't start 'till a couple hours ago. I normally switch back and forth between my headphones and my laptop's built in speakers. Normally what I do is unhook my headphones, open up pavucontrol and switch to my speakers then when I'm done just plug my headphones back in and it automatically goes back but this time I hooked them back in and got nothing. I checked to see if pavucontrol was registering sound going to my headphones and it was. The moment I unplugged my headphones my sound was fine.
I know the headphones and the jack aren't broken because they were working right before I had unhooked them last.
I already got my alsa-info posted here
http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=1e7391dae17612c2a31cd2f55a812ef56d44efcf
and as I said I didn't change anything recently and I didn't do an emerge update yet this week.
Thanks in advance.

Alright, disregard this. Linux has its ways of being mysterious with me I guess. I turned it off for the night then woke up this morning, turned it on and plugged in my headphones expecting nothing but then my sound just fired right back up on my headphones.
Linux you crazy! |
