I run Amarok 2.8.0 on x64, and I'm not able to get it to scan my local collection when using an embedded database. I'll open the settings dialog, go to the "Local Collection" pane, check the box in the tree corresponding to the folder where I keep my music files, and click "OK" or "Apply", but nothing happens. No reaction from the GUI, no output on the terminal, and in particular no files get added to my collection.
Does anyone know if this is a known bug?
If I switch to using a MySQL server (rather than an embedded database) by checking the checkbox on the "Database" pane of the settings dialog, then collection import works fine.

Does it work if you start Amarok with:

If it does then you probably hit bug 508824 which was fixed in amarok-2.8.0-r3. |
