sound lost for user, root is laud (as ever)

hello,

i ducked, ducked, and went, to end up here:

i disassembled my box to clean the fans, and i put it back together.
now user does not get sound (root does), and before cleaning there was sound...

i have rear and front jack inputs, and no matter how i connect there is no sound.
i also have hdmi cable to monitor (with own speakers), there is no sound also.

i do not know what output should i paste here,
or how to start dealing with this problem?

i believe this is ok, user is in audio group which can read and write in that dsp thingy:

hi, did you check alsamixer and checked if anything is muted?

i did, and i have actually 3 cards to choose from (F6), but for sake of sanity i will play now again with alsamixer.
i remember there was some switching on and off

i am, again, sorry for delayed reply, but here it is:
i played with alsamixer settings, changed chards and nothing of good...
so what happened is that i shutdown my computer when i went to sleep, and next morning the sound was working...
