After latest kde upgrade (frameworks 5.13, plasma 5.3.95, apps 15.07.90) I cannot get suspend and hibernate working from application menu.
Every time I try to suspend I get a black screen and after a while the lock page of SDDM will show up.

I can suspend/hibernate from console using the following:
Code:
dbus-send --system --print-reply --dest="org.freedesktop.UPower" /org/freedesktop/UPower org.freedesktop.UPower.Suspend

but when I try to suspend from application menu I get the following messages in xsession-errors:
Code:
powerdevil: Suspend session triggered with QMap(("Explicit", QVariant(bool, true) ) ( "Type" ,  QVariant(uint, 1) ) )
powerdevil: Suspend session triggered with QMap(("Explicit", QVariant(bool, true) ) ( "SkipFade" ,  QVariant(bool, true) ) ( "Type" ,  QVariant(uint, 1) ) )
powerdevil: Starting Login1 suspend job
QObject::connect: No such signal org::freedesktop::ConsoleKit::Manager::PrepareForSleep(bool)
lock called
powerdevil: Failed to start suspend job "org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied" "Rejected send message, 2 matched rules; type="method_call", sender=":1.84" (uid=1000 pid=14817 comm="kded5 [kdeinit5]                                  ") interface="org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit.Manager" member="Suspend" error name="(unset)" requested_reply="0" destination="org.freedesktop.ConsoleKit" (uid=0 pid=5243 comm="/usr/sbin/console-kit-daemon ")"

Packages installed:
Code:
sys-auth/polkit-0.112-r3
sys-auth/consolekit-0.4.6
sys-power/upower-pm-utils-0.9.23-r2
sys-apps/openrc-0.17
kde-plasma/powerdevil-5.3.95

Does anyone have the same issue?

Thanks
thomas

I'm just curious why I didn't just make a
Code:
echo mem  > /sys/power/state
as root ?

this can make the job as the following command
Code:
pm-suspend

as root, but since it's a laptop I need to manually suspend e.g. before closing the lid or when the laptop is not in use for long time running on battery, it's just not so convenient since kde powermanagement can handle this automatically!

Until the latest update everything was working good.

But thanks for the hint!
