Hey guys, I've been having a weir error lately I never saw before: Randomly the screen freezes, I can still move the mouse but just that, keyboard frozen, cant do ctrl+alt+F5 or something and hard rebooting is the only way. After rebooting i find an interesting log for X which tells me of some kind of overflow of something which i cant seem to understand. I smell it could have something to do with chromium tho I'm not sure and have no proof of that. Any help will be welcomed, this happens after "startx" (I got a script which opens a term + chromium + evolution), after some minutes or hours of normal work and in the middle of nothing (has happened when I'm afk) or doesnt happen at all in hours and hours of use. Here is the log file:

You appear to be using the proprietary nVidia driver. Can you reproduce the problem with the open Nouveau driver?

Sadly i can not reproduce it on purpose, its quiet random and so that would imply using Nouveau for some time till it happens again. If any information could be gotten through this log or any other log I could provide that would be the best scenario for me

I've read somewhere that these EQ errors are not really important or relevant :?:

can you try switching from the evdev driver to mouse + keyboard ?

I had some issues with evdev since a few kernel versions & a system upgrade - so it doesn't work anymore and locks up X for me

(and that with nouveau or nvidia-drivers - so it might be a similar error to the one you're experiencing)
