Epiphany hanging on startup for about 10 seconds

Whenever I start Epiphany 3.12.1 (I think this happened in previous versions too), it freezes while restoring tabs from the previous session. The window does not respond at all, I cannot even close it. Other applications are not affected. After about 10 seconds, everything works just fine. However, it doesn't seem to happen when tabs are not restored due to a previous crash.

Is it just me? Can anybody confirm this?
