This should be easy, I am raping the handbook, wiki, google I must be screwing up hardcore and I am SUPER tired and cant sleep without "if only I had internet after my first successful gentoo install" popping up in my head
in the livecd I | Code: | ifconf -a
lo: yadyada
wlp4s0:
blablabla
|
So livecd knows what its doing.
But, when I boot, grub, login this is all I get when I: | Code: | ifconfig -a
lo: derpderpderp |
Am I missing something? I followed the handbook and this http://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Wifi
As you see, I need wlp4s0 interface to load but I am doing something wrong. |

or the kernel module (and firmware, if needed) is not loaded.
Look at on the liveCD to see the kernel module you need.
Tell us the line from lspci that identifies your wireless device.
