My system had been working without any problems until it has been forced disconnected from electricity source. Since this happend, my PC runs well for short period of time ( about 5 - 10 minutes ) and then my monitor losts signal, and I think other processes stop working, for examle copying to USB HDD. I looks like all system becomes dead, but CPU fans are working. This is not hardware issue, other Linux systems work on this machine without any problems. Where should I check where the problem might be? |

Hi Milos,
If it happens after a sudden power outage I would suspect some hardware failure, but it might also be some part of the filesystem is corrupted.
My guess would be:
- First run fsch to check for any file corruption.
- check if some specific files are effected, first fix that.
- Update the complete system, revdep rebuild etc.
Is there anything more you can tell ? Like, does it happen after 10 minutes, or when performing some specific task, etc ?
What are the system parameters like temperature etc ?
