trouble downgrading portage to 2.2.12 (solved)

i dont know what to do, it looks like its trying to use quickpkg inside /var/tmp/portage, i donno...

do you have enough disk space left? Or better asked, is /usr full or read only?

lots of disk space and /usr not read only, other packages install fine to /usr

It's due to some regressions in portage-2.2.13 we didn't know about until more people started running it. That error was from a pre-install sanity check that does not run correctly in portage-2.2.13's code.

I've just released portage-2.2.14_rc1 with that test disabled for now. It is not an important test. Try upgrading to that version please.
