Hello,

I am trying to make a proprietary software named ABBYY OCR 9 for Linux work with my amd64 gentoo. I quote their instructions
Quote:
The ABBYY CLI OCR 9.0 for Linux is designed for glibc version 2.5 and above; the dynamic standard
libstdc++.so.6 and libgcc_s.so.1 libraries have to be used. [...]
Users of 64-bit systems should have the following libraries installed:
-- ia32-libs — in order to run the Activation utility;
-- g++-multilib, libc6-dev-i386 — in order to compile samples.

I guess I don't need ia32-libs, because the Activation utility has already run successfully. But the application throws an error later and I wonder if I am missing that g++multilib package and if yes, what should I install? Any guesses?

The basic question is: is your amd64 profile a multilib one ?
Besides that, it's hard to tell anything without knowing what the error is.
