gcc 3.1

They promise 6% better Athlon performance... they are near release. Do anybody know if there's any gentoo way to have its recent snapshots? I'm going to build a new Gentoo and i want to use it if possible.

If I remeber correctly, what you do is link your /etc/make.profile to the /usr/portage/profiles/gcc-3.1 or something. But last time I checked, there were some packages that broke with gcc 3x

On the box it said it was designed for Win XP or better, so why won't it work with Linux?

lemme ask a dumb question is the gcc 3 ebuild avaliable or am i
going to have to go get it and hammer it in myself. Also has anybody
got it working right with minimal breakage?
