Thanks. There's a lot less reference stuff out there for ppc installs, so I thought I'd start trying to add some.

this is a god send. I was having a hella time with my ibook anf gentoo. so I ran yellow dog but I so miss portage and the faster speed of a gentoo install... I'm going back right now with this guide it touched on all the things i could just not get figgured out! _________________ Information is pure. Take a knife, for example. You can use it to cut up vegetables, butter your bread, etc. Or you can use it as a weapon. I'm glad it's helpful!
Also, I've updated it a bit. I got gdkxft installed so mozilla looks awesome, and I can play DVDs in linux using vlc, albeit a bit jerky.
Soon I hope to try out the latest benh kernel, I've heard it gives better DVD playback performance. |
