Framebuffer settings in devfsd.conf?

what settings should i use in devfsb.conf so that the framebuffer devices (/dev/fb0) are created, so i can use fbset and i have the proper framebuffer selections on startup?
(atm i only have variations on 80x120 rows/columns using the vesa fb device, even though i enabled the riva framebuffer driverin the kernel)
