Is ID the only company that ports their games to linux ?
Are their companies/persons/groups that port games from other companies to linux for free (so not loki) ? |

UT2003 is currently coming with a native Linux-Version on CD3. And Transgaming.com is porting games of other creators. |

Lokigames, which does unfortunately no longer exist, has ported quite a lot of games, including the original UT. Demos and Binairies can be found at their website: www.lokigames.com
edit: I didn't read your post carefully enough. You mentioned loki games. The UnrealTournament(Normal and GOTY version) binaries can be downloaded from their site for free. _________________ Jeroen de Haas

Supposidly never wintern nights will have a linux client some time soon. Although I am not into RPG's, it looks pretty cool.
I think more companies are seeing that geeks with nice computers like to use linux and play games. So I think we will all be happy when stuff starts coming out more and more for linux. And RH8 looks pretty n00b friendly.
I would say though, since I used to be a mac user, that linux has about the same number of games that will run on it as the mac does. This figure is utilizing wine / winex, but still... It is an amazing feat in it self.
I play Counter-Strike, RTCW, UT, UT2k3, (all under Gentoo). For some reason when I type that, it makes me think I may have some issues I need to think about..... like shooting ppl.. lol

Australia centric comments follow.
UT is a fantastic game, and the GOTY edition can be found in any Harvey Norman in Australia for about A$19 ( you could also find it in Grace Brothers near the QVB, Sydney, last time I looked ). Great game, cheap, and the linux support is excellent - definitely a keeper.
