Ok there doesn't seem to be a better place for this for now so here it is.

I'm trying to build icu (a unicode library) on gentoo 1.4 with the following optimizations
Code:

-march=pentium3 -O3 -pipe -fforce-addr -falign-functions=4 -fprefetch-loop-arrays

Anyway it compiles and goes on it's merry way and hits a couple of errors.
Code:

make[2]: *** No rule to make target `invuca.dat', needed by `build-data'.  Stop.
make[2]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
Creating ucadata.dat and invuca.dat
make[2]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
Writing out UCA table: .ucadata.dat
Writing out inverse UCA table: .invuca.dat
size of all names in the database: 341499
number of named Unicode characters: 12773
number of words in the dictionary from these names: 5741
number of letters used in the names: 38
number of lead bytes: 4
number of single-byte tokens: 214
number of tokens: 1074
number of groups: 457
size of the Unicode Names data:
total data length 103016, token strings 8228, compressed strings 89557, algorithmic names 320
make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/icu-2.0/work/icu/source/data/build'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/tmp/portage/icu-2.0/work/icu/source/data'
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 2

And then spits out the standard ebuild not finishing errors. Anybody have any ideas?
