Hello...I'm trieing to get the email server working with postfix...I can send email from a normal user to hotmail but it arrives with a weird email adress. The mail appears to come from blablah@angel.chello.nl with angel being the name of the server and chello.nl the name of my provider. I've changed somethings in /etc/postfix/main.cf ...here's my postconf output
I must be forgetting something....
alias_database = hash:/etc/mail/aliases
alias_maps = hash:/etc/mail/aliases
command_directory = /usr/sbin
config_directory = /etc/postfix
daemon_directory = /usr/lib/postfix
debug_peer_level = 2
default_destination_concurrency_limit = 10
home_mailbox = .maildir/
inet_interfaces = all
local_destination_concurrency_limit = 2
mail_owner = postfix
mydestination = $myhostname, localhost.$mydomain
mydomain = purplehouse.yi.org
myhostname = angel.purplehouse.yi.org
queue_directory = /var/spool/postfix |

Actually, that sounds like the client, not the server. What command do you use to send mail? _________________ "Anything is better than IE, and you can quote me on that." -- Wil Wheaton |
