Hi,

I am trying to configure vpopmail.
I have a qmail running, which currently only accept mails for the domain jusst.de. Currently there is only one user configured and the SMTP is an open relay. In the next time there'll be more domains to host. But my current problem is following:
1. I want to get all mails send to *@jusst.de in one mailbox.
2. I want to have SMTP after IMAP/POP.
I think vPopMail is the right program for that, but I really can't find a useful documentation, which I can understand!

Can someone give me some hints?

HI,

If you want all *@domain in one email box you just have to make
in /var/qmail/alias a .qmail-default

in .qmail-default U specify a user or an email adres. or both.

For more information about qmail and HOW TO CONFIGURE it .. I advice you to read

http://www.lifewithqmail.org

vpopmail is just a virtualdomain admin for qmail. And I think you don't need it for what you want.

More info about vpopmail (and qmailadmin) can be found at http://www.inter7.com/vpopmail

Hi,

I think .qmail-default is not what I want, because this would sort also mails to *@anotherdomain into the same mailbox. Or am I wrong?
I know lifewithqmail and the vpopmail homepage but I didn't found some (for me) useful documentation there!

ah ok ..

What you can do then is this:

insert in the file /var/qmail/control/virtualdomains

yourdomain.com:yourdomain.com
your2domain.com:your2domain.com

and then in /var/qmail/alias this
.qmail-yourdomain:com-default
.qmail-yourdomain:com-postmaster

What this does is sends everything exept postmaster@yourdomain.com to whatever you have in that default file

.qmail-your2domain:com-default
.qmail-your2domain:com-root or whatever user you like

Mind the : don't use .

restart qmail and it wil work.

Hi,

I think the virtualdomains don't work for me...
The virtualdomains file looks like this:
Code:

jusst.de:jusst.de

(currently it's just one domain!)
In alias/ i created a file called
Code:
.qmail-jusst:de-default

It looks like this
Code:

jscheel

Mails directly to jscheel at jusst.de arrive. But those send to somethingother at jusst.de don't work!

Any ideas?

/var/qmail/users/assign looks like this:
Code:

jusst:jscheel:500:100:/home/jscheel:::
