Hey guys. One more problem I need a little help with. Out of the box none of the gentoo distribution cds seem to have the right drivers for my Linksys PCM100 ethernet card so while my install so far has been flawless, i'm still stuck at the problem of not being able to do an emerge sync
Pls help if you have any info on the PCM100 card and how to possibly insmod the right drivers to get ifconfig to show eth0. I can get the card active with insmod pcmcia_core; insmod 8390; insmod pcnet_cs; but i'm missing something in order to get it to show in ifconfig as an active link. The Gentoo CD doesnt nativly detect it properly

| Oh i've read it... The problem is that without Gentoo's base CD install kernel being compiled with the PCMCIA support in kernel i will not be able to complete a gentoo install using the laptop since i can not get onto the net to complete my emerge sync. |
