|
|
Hi all,
I have decided to start installing for the 1st time Gentoo.
After searching and spending 2 hours, I call for help.
After booting from the CD, and selecting the keyboard, I get the error:
* seaching for PCI devices...
lspci: -f: invalid function number.
and then the PCI list is empty.
I do not know what to do from there.
My configuration is :
ECS P4S5A/DX motherboard (SiS645DX chipset)
LAN: MAC integrated in SiS® 961 & PHY on board.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

What is the filename of the CD that you downloaded? _________________ For every higher wall, there is a taller ladder |

Hopefully for me I am further now in the installation process.
But this does not help. I try back with the Gentoo 1.2 CD.
I still get
| Code: | | lspci: -f: invalid function number. |
This is still not the solution.
