Hi,
I'm trying to rebuild everything on my system because I've upgraded my processor to a P4.
I'm having trouble getting by gconf with out an error. Interestingly enough when I remerge gconf right after the error it emerges properly.
However, if I emerge scrollkeeper then it appears to break something for gconf as an emerge gconf following an emerge scrollkeeper fails.
This is all happening on another machine so I can't type in the complete error message but something is going wrong in gconf_sanity_check when the gconf ebuild error occurs.
This error is making it very difficult to emerge -e world so I recompile all my packages. Unfortunately rmerge seems to be broken right now too.
Any ideas on how to fix this so I can run emerge -e world at anytime and it will run to completion? I guess this is the Gentoo version of RPM hell. _________________ Dunster

I'm going to try the following and run it several times to see if I can get through the world components:
emerge -ekb world _________________ Dunster
