I have completely gone the the install process. Everything seemed to be working fine for me until i rebooted and came up to the grub menu. Linux is my only option in there so when i press enter to select it, the grub menu goes away and then comes back. I have red another post talking about the bzImage not being found, i check that and it is there, is there anything else that i can check to get this working? |

If after hitting enter you see something like 'loading <blah>' kernel, and then there is nothing but the swooshing of your hard-disks, it's possible that you forgot to compile in VGA console support, or similar. I have lost count of the number of times I've done this at 4am.

Here is a FAQ that might come in handy. _________________ Quis separabit? Quo animo? |

In extensive MSN conversations with the original poster, the problem was eventually diagnosed as a pair of typo's in the menu.lst file.
Then the fstab file was broken. *
Now the network doesn't work.
But we are limping towards assured victory!

* Including /usr/ not being mounted. Took me a long time to figure this out. _________________ Are you down with the Hawk? |

This turned out to involve a mispelling in the menu.lst parameters, and then mistaken assignment of the kernel root.
Then there were problems with the fstab not being complete, and not including /usr.
And then there were some problems with utilising the correct network driver.
However... they have all been worked out now. A happy ending for all concerned.
