Automatic windowswitching in KDE 3.1 Beta

I'm not sure if anyone else has seen this behaviour or now how to change the default behaviour.

This is my problem:

1. I open an application on Desktop 1
2. I switch to Desktop 2 and open another application and start working with this application.
3. The application on Desktop 1 pops up a window with some information
4. Because of 3, focus is shifted to Desktop 1.

I want to change this so the 4 does not happen, i.e. I continue to work in the application on Desktop 2.

So far I have not found any way to change this behaviour. If someone knows how to deal with it, I would be very happy!
